SAP Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) has announced the assignment of key executives to new positions. Peter Moore, a ten-year veteran with SAP, has been named the Leader of Enterprise Cloud APJ. This newly conceived entity integrates RISE with SAP S/4 HANA Cloud, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), and Customer Experience (CX) units, with the aim of enhancing and accelerating customer and partner value engagement as part of SAP’s cloud transformation journey.
Sushant Jain, another SAP stalwart with over eleven years of service, has been designated as the Leader of Spend Management APJ. His new role unifies the Intelligent Spend Business Network (ISBN) and Concur units, aiming to offer customers a more transparent, robust, and sustainable cloud-first Networked Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Meanwhile, Liher Urbizu, who previously served as the global head of Partner Success Services for SAP, has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer for APJ. All three executives will operate from Singapore.
Moore and Jain will spearhead the market strategy for their respective business segments, focusing on the evolution and expansion of the central strategic business applications within each group. They will report to SAP APJ President, Paul Marriott, and join Angela Colantuono, appointed as the Head of Human Experience Management APJ in July 2022. Together, they will guide an integrated organisation encompassing the entire gamut of SAP’s principal lines of business.
Urbizu, an SAP veteran of over 20 years with diverse roles across India, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore, will helm a regional team in his role as COO. He is set to drive strategy execution across Asia Pacific and Japan, while maintaining a strong commitment to delivering lifetime value for customers and partners.
“Our customers want simplified, streamlined, and high value engagement, so it is important that SAP continues to transform to meet this need,” said Paul Marriott. “The expertise and absolute commitment to customer success that Peter, Sushant, Angela, and Liher bring to their leadership positions is extraordinary. This strategic focus advances SAP’s commitment to empowering Asia’s sustainable future, driving our customers’ business agility, flexibility, and innovation to support growth in a highly competitive market.”
