Identity and access management firm OKTA just announced the availability of its new identity governance solution in the Asia Pacific region.
It melds together identity access management (IAM) and identity governance and administration (IGA) to help companies improve IT efficiency, security and compliance posture, and minimise security risks.
Developed with OKTA’s Workforce Identity Cloud, it enables seamless out-of-the-box integration with more than 400 applications and flexibility to connect to any resource with a low/no-code workflows automation platform.
According to Senior Vice President and General Manager (OKTA, APAC and Japan) Ben Goodman: “Identity governance and administration tools are a critical component of security ecosystems. But they are typically siloed and do not meet the demands of a cloud-first world. Okta Identity Governance is our move towards overcoming this limitation.”
It offers three capabilities:
- OKTA Access Requests
- Fully integrated with Okta’s no-code automation tool and Workflows
- Empowers organisations to automate the process of requesting access to applications and resources
- Event-Based Certifications
- Allows teams to run event-driven certification campaigns instead of predetermined schedules, which offers more granular control and automation of identity management
- Enhanced Governance Reports
- Greater visibility of who has access to what, who approved that access, and how they got it
- Makes it easier for administrators to meet audit and compliance requirements
This IAM platform unifies identity, access, and governance with the goal of improving the security posture of an organisation.
Customers can integrate this solution with their existing HR system, allowing them to manage who gets access to what resources. Should any suspicious activity be detected, IT can immediately suspend that resource.
According to Okta, the Workforce Identity Cloud lets organisations become faster and more productive without sacrificing their security. The solution provides an identity foundation to deliver an orchestration layer that maximises more automation and deeper integrations.
