Global graph data platform Neo4j has partnered up with Singapore tertiary education institution Temasek Polytechnic (TP) for its new Graphs4SG program, aimed at developing professionals with graph tech skills and expertise.
The program, which began last month, has pledged to train over 200 students by the end of 2025.
Gartner Research predicts that in the same year, graph technologies will be applied to 80% of data and analytics innovations.
Graphs are able to provide accurate predictions and insights by manipulating critical context and relationships between data. The growth of different types of data also influenced its adoption.
This new program builds on Neo4j’s Graphs4APAC initiative, dedicated to giving back to Asia Pacific community stakeholders by making free and accessible the newest mission-critical graph tech, tools, materials and training. It is also aimed at helping community members with business requirements.
Neo4j’s Asia Pacific vice president, Nik Vora, said: “The Graphs4SG program is specially designed for Singapore so students can expect a more agile curriculum, with access to an extensive collection of resources created by graph technology experts.”
The company stated that equipping students with graph technology experience will bolster Singapore’s position as one of Asia’s top tech and innovation hubs.
TP is offering curated courses on open-source graph databases and graph data science developed by Neo4j experts. Once done, they will receive official certification from Neo4j’s GraphAcademy online training and Temasek Polytechnic.
