Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), a prominent property developer, has announced the launch of Cloud 11, a 40 billion THB project aimed at supporting the growing Creator Economy.
With its “Empowering Creators” concept, Cloud 11 aspires to become Asia’s largest hub for content creators, offering a comprehensive ecosystem for the new generation to build careers and businesses in content creation. The project is part of the innovation cluster in South Sukhumvit.
“Thailand, for its part, has many advantages when it comes to the content industry. Thailand’s impressive culture provides valuable material for content creation. The country also has so many talents. But these resources are just scattered and not yet fully integrated with technologies and innovations,” said Narong Chearavanont, Honorary Chairman of the Cloud 11 Advisory Committee.
The hub’s concept is built based on three key pillars, which are the content creation ecosystem, virtual-physical bridge, and inclusive progress. The content creation ecosystem provides studio spaces, funds, talent, and state-of-the-art equipment for a seamless workflow.
Virtual-physical bridge gives Thai creators an opportunity to experience global standards via technologies such as Web3, Metaverse, and Blockchain, enabling immersive experiences from both virtual and physical realms; whereas inclusive progress creates an avenue for young people to embrace diversity and equality for mutual growth.
“We have always honoured our ‘For All Well-Being’ philosophy with our property projects that enhance the lives of all on a sustainable basis. Every MQDC project delivers benefits to local communities, the public, and the country, as it is developed with innovations, advanced technologies, and concepts in line with national development policies. We have invested in the Cloud 11 project to create an innovation cluster for new-gen and creative innovation in South Sukhumvit,” Visit Malaisirirat, Chief Executive Officer of MQDC added.
The project has seven zones, namely: creative office and studio spaces which will have sustainable and efficient office spaces, including studio spaces; hybrid retail, a shopping mall with a fulfilment centre, cloud kitchen as well as partnerships with global brands; Smart Hotel and Lifestyle Hotel, international hotel chains venturing into Thailand for the first time; educational facilities, which will house institutions, universities, research centers, and incubation facilities; cultural venues with halls for concerts/e-sport events, as well as a black box theatre; and public spaces which will include Bangkok’s largest rooftop park among others.
“Cloud 11 not only has physical facilities to comprehensively fulfill the needs of content creation and new-gen lifestyles, but it will also give inspiration, knowledge and growth opportunities to creators, content-based enterprises, and related businesses. We expect Cloud 11 to empower Thai creators and bring them to the global market. Also, we truly hope that our project will contribute to efforts to turn Thailand into a top global content provider,” Onza Janyaprasert, Project Director of Cloud 11 remarked.
The project, wholly invested in and owned by MQDC, began construction in 2022 and is expected to open in Q4 2024. Reservations for creative office and retail spaces are now open. Companies and organizations can register their interest and submit inquiries at www.cloud11bangkok.com.
