Human resources publication HR Asia has named Microsoft Philippines as one of the “Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021” for showcasing amazing employee engagement, human capital development, and maintaining an extraordinary workplace culture.
Microsoft Philippines’ People Strategy, which goes above and beyond the bounds of typical management by placing worker development and holistic wellness within an inclusive environment as the top priority, has now garnered recognition for the enterprise for a second consecutive year.
HR Asia’s Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) surveys more than a million employees throughout the region, using a 5-point scoring system based on three categories: Collective Organization for Real Engagement (CORE), Self: Heart, Mind and Soul, and Group: Think, Feel and Do.
CORE looks into the culture, ethics, leadership, and active initiative, while Self zeros in on emotional engagement (heart), intention and motivation (mind), as well as behavior and advocacy (soul).
Meanwhile, the Group analyzes collective consciousness (think), workplace sentiment (feel), and the team dynamics (do) within the company under consideration.
The company chose to focus on their employees’ safety, and well-being while simultaneously bolstering overall healthcare and holistic wellness support in both physical and mental aspects, which they extended to the families of workers, amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
Grace Dela Cruz, Microsoft Philippines Human Resources Director, spoke of the company’s mission of empowerment for all, as the primary thrust behind their people-centric efforts.
“We’re honored by this distinction and in receiving it, reaffirm our commitment to our team to continue providing them with an environment where they can bring their authentic selves every day—one that is diverse and inclusive—and most importantly, a platform where they can bring their passions, and be empowered to drive positive outcomes for themselves and those around them,” Dela Cruz said.
