In a bid to bolster strength and resilience options for consumer cloud applications, Microsoft India has launched Azure Availability Zones in their Central India Data Center Region.
The dispersed, independent data centers enable enterprises to spread data, infrastructure, and services with simultaneous protection from localized failures due to mechanical malfunctions and even natural disasters.
In the event of any damages, another independent data center within the Azure Availability Zone will keep things running, protecting clientele workload and business operations.
Furthermore, by assessing well over 30 viability and risk-based criteria, Microsoft is able to determine and maintain the most ideal Availability Zone configuration.
With an uptime of 99.99%, the newly installed Azure Availability Zone in Pune allows Microsoft clients in India to safely and securely disperse their infrastructure and cloud applications via the data centers.
“We are continually upgrading the infrastructure in India to provide support for customers building and operating applications and workloads. From facilitating architectures for modern cloud applications, to meeting data residency requirements, the new Azure Availability Zones in Central India will bring resilience to businesses, as they accelerate digital transformation,” stated Microsoft India Chief Operating Officer Rajiv Sodhi.
Meanwhile, Tata Consultancy Services VP & Chief Information Officer Abhijit Mazumder explained that the company’s Microsoft Business Unit is an integral tool for customer service, enabling them to carry out the “Cloud First” aspect of their company’s Business 4.0 framework.
“We believe this launch of a new Azure Central India Availability Zones from Microsoft will further enhance the resiliency and availability of mission-critical applications for us, as well as our clients in the region,” Mazumder said.
