Lenovo announces newest ThinkStation P620

Introducing the next generation of their desktop workstation, ThinkStation P620, Lenovo builds on unmatched power levels and performance in a single-socket platform.

New features include the next-generation AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5000WX-Series processor, which is said to improve performance by 25% compared to its predecessor; and a new 24-core CPU option, enabling greater expansion and configurability for professional users.

According to the company, the ThinkStation P620 is able to help essential industries support hybrid working environments. These fields include automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and architecture.

Engineers, designers, creators and architects as well will benefit as shots can be rendered in a shorter timespan and 3D visualisations can be run smoothly in real-time.

Apart from support for two 2NVIDIA RTX A6000 graphics cards, 1 TB memory, and 20TB storage, the workstation also reportedly offers:

  • PCIe Gen 4 (greater speed across storage, memory and graphics)
  • Two times the L3 cache directly accessible per core (vs. the previous generation CPU for reduced latency)
  • Increased clock speeds up to 4.5GHz
  • Up to 64 core processor
  • 10GB of built-in ethernet (the latest in connectivity)
  • Windows 11 support

Lenovo said that companies involved in the manufacturing value chain can be more flexible, efficient and responsive by joining the latest workstation with technologies such as 3D printing, reverse engineering, and Internet of Things (IoT).

The ThinkStation P620 is now available in Malaysia starting from US$2100 (RM9,999).
