Group-IB Partners with Pacific Tech to Strengthen Cybersecurity in Southeast Asia

Cybersecurity firm Group-IB has selected Pacific Tech as its value-added distributor to deliver its suite of products and services in Southeast Asia, specifically in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar. As Group-IB’s first distributor in Singapore, Pacific Tech will provide the Unified Risk Platform, an ecosystem of solutions tailored to each organization’s threat profile and real-time defences from a single interface.

The platform’s offerings encompass threat intelligence, managed extended detection and response (XDR), digital risk protection, education and training, digital forensics, and incident response, as well as cyber investigations.

Through this collaboration, Group-IB will train and certify all Pacific Tech sales and engineering personnel to support the distributor’s channel partners. Additionally, Pacific Tech’s strong connections with resellers across various industries will help expand Group-IB’s local and regional reach.

Group-IB’s threat intelligence team revealed that the Asia Pacific (APAC) region experienced the highest number of attacks from nation-state threat actors. Between H2 2021 and H1 2022, over 35 advanced persistent threat (APT) groups were detected in APAC, with India, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Vietnam as the most active sources of threats. Ransomware remains the top threat for both the public and private sectors.
