Lenovo and tech company Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) recently released an InfoBrief, “CIO Technology Playbook 2023”, showing that digital infrastructure will drive 43% of business revenue in Asia by 2027.
The International Data Corporation (IDC) paper also found that organisations are eyed to precipitate as much as 43% of revenue from digitally connected products, services and customer experiences.
The CIO Technology Playbook 2023 studied more than 900 CIOs and IT decision-makers in the Asia Pacific and collected concerns among CIOs about macroeconomic factors influencing business growth in 2023 and early 2024.
It also shows that IT decision-makers are exploring using technology to optimize their supply chains and enhance asset utilisation, agility and resilience, which allows them to respond more quickly to the changing needs of their business.
Below are some of the ways they do this:
- Digital infrastructure drives business ROI
- Increased focus on hybrid/Multi-cloud for cloud/Modernised mission-critical workloads
- Growing awareness and adoption of As-A-Service flexible models
- Unified data management means improved innovation
- Enhancing customer experience is a priority for CIOs
“The upcoming year is predicted to be a challenging one with economic fluctuations and the acceleration of digital transformation,” said Lenovo ISG president Sumir Bhatia. “IT leaders in Asia Pacific are consequently putting more of an emphasis on streamlining processes and utilising technology to optimise resources and increase business agility, so they can react quicker to the changing needs of the industry.”
