The Gala was graced by globally renowned music talents like Lebanese artist Yara at the MENA Gala, French pop sensation Kendji Girac and Dutch DJ Quintino. They held special livestreams to show support for BIGO’s up and coming stars.

With exceptional achievements and a strong following in their respective regions, the broadcasting talents that garnered top spots in the company’s hall-of-fame this year were:

Adding to the prestige of the Gala Awards, the event featured a showcase of different cultural and linguistic, online performances such as aerial yoga, a cosplay show, ethnic music presentations, and more.

A virtual concert with popular Thai singer-songwriter The Toys also took place, which also included the debut of Bigo Live’s Virtual Live 3D avatar, for a spectacularly immersive show for the audience.

Spectators were also given the chance to vote for their top broadcasters, families, and Glory Region, as well as participate in a raffle to win valuable prizes.

To serve as a showcase for BIGO’s leading spot in the industry and continued focus on future-facing innovations including VR and AR, the Gala featured Bigo Live’s mascot, DINO, as the 3D host of the event.

Mike Ong, BIGO Technology Vice President, stated that the company remains steadfast in its commitment to continuously enhancing its streaming service’s quality “to empower users and foster creative environments where individuals can fully showcase their talent, creativity and potential” through their platform.

“Thanks to technological innovation, our livestreaming platform, Bigo Live, enables broadcasters to create both content-of-value and content-of-meaning for their viewers. It’s these individuals who have had a positive impact in their respective communities that we would like to celebrate,” Ong said.
