Asteris, PetBooqz to offer cloud-based vet business management solutions

Asteris, a leader in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solution industry, has recently announced its partnership with veterinary software solutions, PetBooqz, to provide cloud-based veterinary business management software.

PetBooqz, which was developed by the veterinary industry and ancillary service providers (e.g., groomers, boarding kennels), is among the most flexible software for those in the veterinary and pet industries.

Asteris and PetBooqz are working towards providing integration and “streamlined radiology workflow for mutual customers”, according Asteris COO Erik Berger.

Some main features include:

  • Simple data access and entry with automation where necessary so that data stays accurate and comprehensive
  • Processes that maximise customer care
  • Flexible installation options ensuring essential real-time access to histories
  • Support not just for software but hardware as well

The partnership allows users to offer radiology-related exams within PetBooqz patient records, capturing billing and eliminating potential missed revenues.

The integration also streamlines patient information by placing patient demographics into the Radiology Information System (RIS) and then passing it through to the imaging acquisition software. This saves time and minimises errors in updating patient information in the acquisition software.

Once the study is archived to Asteris Keystone — a suite that allow vet practices use the PACS veterinary radiology software — a link will be created in the PetBooqz patient record so users have a single point of access for records and launch into a diagnostic image viewer online.
