Fantasy sandbox MMORPG, Albion Online, by Sandbox Interactive, has introduced Albion East, its new server for the Asia-Pacific region offering:
- Faster connection speeds
- Better ping, lower latency
- Time-gated events optimized for timezones throughout Australia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia
While the game is still free, players could fully access the closed beta testing servers launched last month as well as the Albion East server, through purchasing Founder Packs.
Together with both types of access, Founder Packs provide protection for existing character and guild names and many valuable in-game items such as Gold, and Premium, as well as exclusive Founder-only Nametags, Avatars, and Vanity Items.
APAC’s Albion East server features a brand-new version of the game, wherein players start from the same level and can claim their piece of Albion; a game world separate from the “Albion West” server; and greater connection speeds and ping.
Players are also entitled to timings of game and server events optimized for the region, such as territory battles, Crystal League, and Faction Warfare, among others.
Sandbox Interactive Game Director Robin Henkys expressed hope that the new server will make the game “more accessible than ever for countless players.”
Albion Online came to life in 2017, was launched for Steam in 2019, became free to play in 2019, and launched on mobile in 2021.
